Wardrobe essentials for the supermodel

It is not easy being a model, let alone a supermodel. The status and media hype around you never let you be and yet expect you to be impeccably turned out at all times. The one aspect of any model’s life that always makes it to the front headliners is his or her wardrobe. Having your wardrobe with stuff that hampers your making ‘the point’ is really not a wise investment. To be the delight of any photographer you need a wardrobe that is not only filled with trendy clothes and accessories but also a mix and match segment that allows you to constantly experiment with your look.

The challenge is more in the case of male models. Going beyond shirts and trousers is a challenge. Like in the case of their female counterparts, these models too need to constantly update the wardrobe with suitable pieces of clothing for any or particular occasions! The magic manta lies in getting the wardrobe basics right. Shirts, denims, jeans, suits, shoes and an array of ties is what makes the model wardrobe complete. Initially you will have to sit in front of the closet and generate a checklist. It is this checklist that will help you to shop systematically and within a budget.

A model photographer is always partial to the dressy white and blue button shirt. This formal and yet so cool attire is your safest bet. Also pay attention to the need for a well tailored suit – in classic black, steel gray or the white and any color combo. You need to pick your favorite colors that make you feel special on special occasions. Pick from pinstripes to slightly thicker lines nod invest in at least one segment of business attire with both, single-breasted and double breasted suits.

Super male models are icons of fashion. You wardrobe must speak of the kind o fashion you favor and the colors that make you what you are! Black and gray need not always scream out of the wardrobe. Experiment with khaki, beige, blues, and mauves for special occasions. Always shop for your wardrobe in such a way that you can mix and match the accessories and clothing for business events too! To get that perfect look within a not so stringent budget all you need is an investment in funky and sober neckties, chinos, tees, eyeglasses, belts, sneakers, capris, and that 'out-of-the-ordinary' comfy cargo shorts.
