At the same time, there are many male models who have become popular with their androgynous looks. This is a modern day phenomenon and probably reflects the changing sexual mores and lifestyles. These models follow a diet that is very different from those looking to beef up their bodies. The fact of the matter is that there is a demand for all body types.

Many of the top models have personal trainers who take care of their exercise regimen and diet. Diet plays a truly important part as constant worry about weight gain and looks makes these people extremely susceptible to mental ailments like anorexia nervosa.

In the super competitive world of modeling, male and female models try to add longevity to their careers by trying to maintain the perfect body. Muscular male models try to maintain a high level of physical fitness the year round. The others are not far behind and take recourse to modern medicine and diet plans to extend their lives in the magical world of modeling.
